Another weekend has come to and end…. and we did nothing. I woke up yesterday with a headache, a sore throat, and laryngitis and Joe said he didn’t sleep all that well so it was a quiet day of reading and computing for both of us. Today I’m a bit better but not over it, except my voice came back, so it was another pretty quiet day. Oh and it started snowing about 9:30 this morning and it snowed off and on all day. Ugh. Not a fan of snow or cold or winter in general. I want summer!!!
When my girls were little and they just didn’t feel good but couldn’t put a name of what they had, we ended up calling it “the creeping crud”…. and it stuck. Joe asked me this morning if I still had the creeping crud. Ah, family traditions!
Last week I did get a few cards made though. Here’s one from an old but favourite stamp.
I love this image. So darn cute. It was stamped on white cardstock and light blue ink was sponged on for the background. I placed an old greeting card by the bicycle’s tires and sponged grey ink there so the bike would not be floating. The image was coloured with both pencils and markers. Stickles were added to the cupcakes to give them some sparkle. It’s a large image so not much room for a verse or embellishments so this time I pulled out my stash of pink ribbon and found a pink and black that looked perfect with it. They were glued on an angle on the two corners and then the card was glued to a pink card base. The sentiment is a peel-off.
