Celebrate Card!

     Another Monday! Where does the time go! Its crazy how much faster time goes as you get older. But each day is a day closer to spring!

    Today I’m posting a card that, to me, is a masculine card, but I suppose it could be for anyone.

                                                 

    The image is on white cardstock. I think this is an old Tim Holtz image. I seldom ever keep packages so I seldom ever know whose products I’m using. Its just not important to me. Anyway, the cupcake was coloured and then it sat in my ‘to make into cards one day’ stash. I pulled it out and decided it was time to finish it. It was first mounted on red cardstock but before I mounted it, I die cut two ‘celebrate’ word dies because I knew I wanted to use them on the front of the card. The negative pieces are covered up by the image so why not use them instead of cutting into full pieces.  I had this piece of black cardstock sitting on my desk that I think came from an old greeting card…it was not the usual black cardstock that I always use…much thicker but I figured it would work. It was cut down to fit on the A2 card base with a border showing. The image was then mounted on the black and then onto the white card base. The three word sentiments were glued together with the black one shifted over to have a red border showing. I have three grandsons with birthdays coming up so one of them just might get this card.
