The weather has once again changed from freezing cold to way above freezing. No wonder there are so many people sick. We are under yet another warning for rain for tomorrow with possible flooding. Crazy, crazy weather.
I haven’t had time to make many cards or quilt this week but I did make some a couple of weeks ago. I found two images that were stamped and coloured and sitting in the ‘get to them at some point’ bin and decided they had been there long enough and made them into cards. These will have to be for someone with a good sense of humour, which is pretty much everyone in my family.
I seldom make two cards the same but seeing as I’m crunched for time right now, I made an exception this time. Both images were coloured at different times as I was watching hockey on TV so each buzzard is a little different. A friend gifted me with some crafting goodies and some of it was paper - a few sheets of various colours and designs. There were two of this beautiful blue with lines through it and it just picked up the colour of the buzzards perfectly.
But first they needed to be cut down to size and the area around the buzzards was splotched with water and water colour paint. The images were stamped on water colour paper and it is hard to adhere that sometimes so I opted to mount them on brown cardstock using both glue brads. The brads go right through the blue as well because it was then glued to a brown card base.
The sentiment came with the stamp set - this is an old Art Impression set. They were stamped with VersaMark and then heat set with white embossing powder. For one, I left the stamped sentiment on a rectangle and for the other I cut around it …just to make them a bit different. These would not quality for quick and easy but still fun to assemble.
That’s all for a very mild Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
Cheers
Violet
