Thinking of You card

I'm back. Did you miss me? Sunday is always a hit and miss day whether I post or not but I normally post other days. The last few days have not been kind to me - under attack from the brain disorders big time. So last night I'm laying in bed trying to remember what it was I posted on the blog when it occurred to me that I couldn't remember, because I hadn't posted anything. Too many bad days have turned my brain to mush I guess.

Last night was another attack so I woke up tired and unmotivated to do much so hubby decided we should head out to Port Huron just to get out of the house for the day. He knows when I've had a few bad days, and nights, in a row I have a hard time concentrating on anything so time to get out of the house. It worked. I felt much better just walking around Hobby Lobby and other stores then sitting here. I did pick up a few things on sale at Hobby Lobby but nothing too exciting.

Today I'm posting a card using the same stamp that I used on one of the "show lots of white" challenge from last week, and yet it looks like a totally different stamp.

This is another Stamping Bella stamp. I know I have lots of hers and I've won lots from entering cards in her weekly challenges and some I've bought on sale at the Paper Pickle when they quit selling stamps. This stamped image was coloured with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. All dies by Spellbinders. Paper is from the stash. The sentiment was first stamped in silver ink but it didn't show up very well so I went over it with a silver pen. The border is from a punch but I don't know which one because I don't own it. This was stuck in a magazine I picked up at the thrift store along with the scrapbooking paper so I thought I may as well use it. I decided that this card needed some stitching on it so I added that too. I have an old Singer sewing machine a friend of mine gave me that is strictly for cards which is nice because it sits down in the "lower studio" (aka the basement) so I have easy access to it - when I remember to use it that is.

  1. Hobby Lobby gives me back my zen too. lol......well the one back in our town in TX did anyway...it was always so quiet or at least at the times i chose to go...i could wander around there for an hour dreaming up new projects or how to finish current ones...leaf thru the books....and just relax.....Here in the California the place seems to be a little more busy....(alot more actually) people just letting their kids run around and do whatever...screaming and yelling...kinda lost my zen for it...but i keep going back and once in a while i find it quiet....Glad your feeling better. Hugs! deb
