Lots of dogs card

Well, it warmed up yesterday to about 75F so we packed up the bikes and headed out to Rondeau for a bike ride. Great day!

As we were home eating supper Joe asked, “Tired?”
And I said, “A little. I rode 27km on a bicycle and then came home to slaving over a hot microwave!”

This cracked him up. He never knows what I’ll say. During the spring months I made lots of vegetarian lasagna, stews and soups and froze them so when we come home from a bike ride I just have re-heat and eat.

Today is a Bellariffic Friday card day. Stamping Bella provided us with a sketch this week….love this sketch.

Here’s my card.

This stamp is one of my new ones that I just won from her…just for entering her challenge. It was coloured with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. All dies are Spellbinders. After die cutting the squares and assembling them on the base paper that I had already glued on the dark blue strip (same paper as the around the stamped images) I decided the top of the stamped image was too bare so I die cut a piece of left over blue with one the Spellbinder’s Majestic square die and just used the corner pieces.

I cut the strips at the bottom and notched them myself. Here’s how I got them to be where I wanted them to be under the stamped image. I placed a pair of scissors along where the bottom of the card would be so only the top was glued in place. Then I arranged the banners, then glued them down, removed the scissors holding up the bottom of the card and let it be glued in place. I think this will make a nice birthday card for any age group….or a “get well from all of us”, etc.

I will be calling my friend to come pick up the 50th wedding anniversary card she asked me to make for her. Hope she likes it. To view it, just scroll down a couple of days. Your comments, suggestions and yes, even helpful criticism, is welcome. It’s how we learn and grow.

 Have a great weekend everyone.

Cheers
Violet
