Today’s card is for the Stamping
Bella ’s challenge. It was a “Christmas in July” challenge
with no sketch. Perfect challenge for me. Here’s my card.
I love this bunny stamp. Once again, I always seem to reach
for my favorite stamps – and a lot of them are from Stamping
Bella . This one was coloured with Prismacolor markers (I
always stumble spelling their name because the American spelling does not
include the “u” like the Canadian spelling) and gamsol. The background is chalk
which I did while the image was still in the Spellbinder’s square die. Then I
die cut a piece of wine paper with the Spellbinder’s Marvelous Squares die.
This time I decided to sew the stamped and coloured image to the background
wine cardstock.
The background paper
was cut down from a paper pack and the solid wine coloured one was run thru the
Cuttlebug with their Snowflake embossing folder. Then I carefully and gently
rubbed a white stamp pad over the top to just hi-lite the snowflakes a bit.
Once taped together with the swirl patterned paper, I added the wine ribbon
down the seam. The circle (won it so not sure who made it) and sentiment (Paper Wishes) was stamped and then die cut with
Spellbinders of course.
No Spellbinders does not sponsor me nor does Stamping Bella but I love their products. Sadly no
one sponsors me but my bank account! The pearls were added in a few places
because I like them. Once the card was completely glued down I added white
flocking to the hat brim and puff at the end of the hat and sat it aside to
dry. Once dry I brushed off the extra flocking and put it back in the
container. This card I like and I hope who ever receives this year likes it
too. I think I'll use the rest of the cut paper to make some card backgrounds just like this one ready to add some finished images to.
Have a great weekend everyone! Stay safe and have fun.
Cheers
Violet
