What a gorgeous few days of fall weather we have had. Last
week it was so cold in our house I threatened to turn the furnace on and this
week I’ve threatened to turn the A/C back on. Talk about fluctuating weather!
Wow! It was so nice today and I was feeling better (but still have laryngitis)
we decided to head out to
Rondeau
Park for a bike ride –
but we kept it down to 27.5 km. We haven’t been on bikes for three weeks and
didn’t want to over do it.
I thought I would share another scrapbook layout today. This
one is on my sister and I visiting my daughter and Finn – and I took Finn the
sock monkey I made for him. Oh yeah, speaking of the sock monkey, I have it
back. It turns out that about a month ago he was playing with it and started
turning one of the eyes – and turning it and turning it and turning it – until it
ripped the sock material and came out. Not sure how I’m going to fix this one!
I think the super hero sock monkey is now going to be a pirate sock monkey with
a patch over one eye!
Anyway, here’s the layout.
I had just made the sock monkey the day before my sister and
I went for our visit and I didn’t have time to make many clothes for it. The
sock monkey does not come with clothes patterns. You have to design your own –
hence he is wearing shorts and a cape so he is a super hero monkey. The paper
came as it is shown so all I had to do was add the strips of paper here and
there and the photos. The journal tag turned out pretty good. I just hand drew
a “onesie” and cut it out. Then I coloured it with Tombow markers. I ran it thru the printer to do the
journaling. I hate my hand writing! There is a stamped sentiment at the top and
I added some rub-ons here and there. A couple of quick pages to do for sure.
Here are the individual pages.
Cheers
Violet
