White on White on White

This week’s challenge at Stamping Bella was to make a monochromatic card. Becca at http://www.amazingpapergrace.com makes the most beautiful cards but most are way too complicated for me to make and I don’t have her unlimited supplies. However, once in awhile I do get inspired from something she has posted and this was one of those times. She made an all white card that was just beautiful so I made my card for this week all white.

You have to look closely but the inside of the oval is a Stamping Bella stamp of white roses which were embossed in white. The oval was die cut and embossed with the Spellbinders majestic oval die with the Spellbinder’s large oval in the middle to create the hole. The background was embossed with a Fiskar’s embossing plate but you can hardly see it in the photo – but you can in real life.  The bottom corner treatments were die cut with a Cuttlebug die and the top label is from Spellbinders. The sentiment was stamped first and the white strip was added (peel-and-stick from Paper Wishes) before I glued it on.

So, here’s how I put it together. I glued the background to the card base and then I glued the corner treatments to it. The oval with the image was glued to the back of the fancy oval and it was attached with thin dimensional strips to lift it up off the background. The label on top was added with higher dimensional strips. Then I added the small pearls around the oval and to the ends of the top label. I made the bow and added it.  I wish the embossed image showed up better in the photo because it is very pretty in real life.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Cheers

Violet
