Last Friday I posted a card made with the
Poppy Memory Die. A black poppy was die cut and once again, I just had to use
the negative space. Here is what I did.
First thing I did was to ticket punch the
black cardstock and blue it to a red card base and then ran a gold Bic pen
around the edges. Then I die cut a poppy
with some green cardstock (it was too small to do anything else with so it got
chucked) and I die cut just the poppy flowers in a piece of left over red
cardstock. The flowers were then run through an embossing folder to give them
some dimension and then I gently ran some gold ink over them. The green die cut
was then placed in the hole where the black poppy was cut from. I had
remembered to save the black piece between the stems to place it back in there.
Once the green die cut piece as in place, I added the red flowers on top. The ribbon
and bow along the side just set it off nicely. The sentiment and the little
doodad are from peel-and-stick sheets.
That’s all for a cold Monday.
Cheers
Violet
what is a casserole cover? Is it like a cozy to keep a casserole hot? the card is elegant and I have to say I LOL'ed at the comment you let on my blog about your paper ornament:)
ReplyDeleteYes, a casserole cover is what you can wrap a casserole dish in to keep warm to take to a potluck. This is my own design too. I'll post some pictures another day.
