The
only fresh air I’ve seen lately is when I poke my head out the door to see if
there is any mail! It’s just too cold out there for me. Apparently it is going
to be just around 0C (32F) on Sunday which is great..... but it is bringing about 15 centimetres (5
½ “) of snow with it. Groan!
To
brighten up the day I’m posting a very colourful card.
This
is another “use up those scrap” cards. The flower stamps are from a Stampin’ Up
set, Petal Parade, and the other one is from their Serene Silhouette set. I
stamped the flowers with pink ink on white cardstock and die cut them with the
Spellbinder circle die. The middle one was stamped with blue ink that is close
to the colour of the larger circles that are behind the stamped circles. The
border between the top pink paper and the bottom striped paper was die cut with
a Spellbinder’s Edgeability die out of pink cardstock and then the edges were
inked with a darker ink. The banner was hand cut and added to a left over piece
from the same paper as the top portion – I like to use it all! After everything
was glued down I added large pink gems to the centres of the flowers and small
pink gems to the flowers on the middle image. I keep telling myself to sit down
and just put a whole lot of scraps together like this for quick cards when I
need one – but so far myself isn’t listening. I’m easily sidetracked with new ideas I think!
That’s
all for a cold Friday….have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Cheers
Violet
