A Retro Card

It was such a busy day today I almost forgot to post my card. Nothing too exciting to report, just busy, so I’ll get right to the card.

This card was made for this challenge: http://alwaysplayingwithpaper.blogspot.ca

The background paper from this card was a 12x12 sheet in a paper pack that I picked up at the thrift store. I had no idea what was in the package but there were 3 or 4 paper packs for $3.99 so I took and I’m glad I did. The retro look is very hot right now so I knew this would make a wonderful Anniversary Card. The “Happy” looks faded but on the card itself it is not. Not sure why it faded out in the photo.

This was a quick card to put together. The labels are from two different Spellbinder dies. Both labels were die cut from another part of the same paper. I ran a ribbon under the bottom one and then just tied a simple bow with the left over ribbon and glued it. The sentiment was stamped and then I went over it with a black gel pen.

That’s all for a simply beautiful fall day with temperatures in the mid 70F.

Cheers

Violet
