Well they weren’t kidding when they said it was going to rain today
– rain it did, all day and still raining. Walking outside was not going to
happen today so we made ourselves go to the arena and walked around there for
16 laps – which is 2 miles. My daughter gave Joe a pedometer last year for
Christmas and we often wondered how accurate it was. We always felt like we
walked more than it registered. So today he wore the pedometer and sure enough,
we walked 2 miles and it registered 1.2 miles. Yikes! That is way off. I’ve
emailed the company asking how to reset it but no reply yet.
Today’s card is yet another, water coloured Christmas card.
The bottom was covered with a piece of torn copy paper to keep
it white. Once again the background was wet with a brush and then I spread
water colour paints over the wet area and let them blend together. Once it was
dry I splattered white acrylic paint all over it. This time I used the same purple
ink that the trees (Inkadinkado) were stamped in (stamped twice right beside
each other so it fit the entire card) to blend into the snow bank to look like
shadows. Then I used light blue paint to paint in some snow drifts. The sentiment
is from HOTP and it was stamped in the same purple ink. Before gluing it to the
card base three strands of glitter ribbon was wrapped around the card and a gem
was added where they cross.
That’s all for a very wet, but warm, Friday, November-27-15. Have a great weekend everyone.
Cheers
Violet
