We
finally had some rain during a thunderstorm last night so it cooled things off
a bit….for awhile….it’s back to the mid 80’sF this afternoon though. It’s
amazing how much greener the grass is today after that bit of rain – watch it
grow now!
Today’s
card is another one that came from our local Stampin’ Up dealer, The Pampered
Stamper, when I missed her classes that I signed up…and paid for….and forgot to
go to. I have no idea what the card made in her class looked like so I just did
my own thing.
In
with the card base was the stamped main image of the leaves/flowers, the swing
and the ribbon with the bow already tied – nice and the sentiment stamped on!
On a separate piece of cardstock was stamped the cat, dog and pillow. So, the
first thing I did was to colour all the images with my Prismacolor pencils.
Because the ribbon was that pinkish/rosy colour I made sure that I used some of
the same colour in the flowers and the pillow. The dog, cat and pillow were
then cut out and the edges were inked with a black pen – I hate white edges.
The pillow was glued to the right side of the swing and the cat was added to
the other end with a dimensional glue dot. Chalk was sponged for the sky and
grass. The ribbon was wrapped around the card and taped on the back before
gluing the entire thing to the card base. Then the dog was added by a
dimensional glue dot to the ribbon….hopefully he looks as if he is sleeping on
the ribbon.
Don’t
forget you are more than welcome to save any cards to your Pinterest account
for future reference.
That’s
all for another hot and humid Thursday,
Cheers
Violet
