A Rainy Monday

It appears we are only allowed on nice day - after a mild Sunday without a cold wind ruining the day; we are having a rainy Monday…to be repeated Tuesday with some snow showers mixed in. Yuck. Hurry spring!

I really like this old Memory Box window die and I decided to make a few Christmas cards with it. Here’s one of them.

The window was die cut from brown cardstock and then I die cut the top and the bottom part twice; trimmed off the excess and glued them on top to give it a little dimension – and to give the ferns (Martha Stewart) a place to tuck in to. The scene behind the window is part of an old Christmas card and in between them I always put a piece of clear plastic – I use a plastic package from embellishments, etc. This really makes a difference in real life. People always touch it. The cat was die cut twice, glued together and glued to the windowsill. Then the ferns were punched (love this MS punch) and tucked in and then red gems were added. The background was white cardstock that was run through a Swiss dot embossing folder. The sentiment is a gold peel-off. Once I liked the arrangement, it was then glued to a standard white card base.

That’s all for a very wet Monday, December 9th, 2019.

I’ll be back on Wednesday with another post.

Cheers

Violet
