One More Christmas Card

Wow, Christmas is only a few days away so I thought I better get one more Christmas card in. I made this one for my sister. She loves birds too and has many feeders in her garden.

The bird was stamped on white cardstock and then coloured by sponging on various inks….this is such a quick but effective way to colour these large images. I used a Martha Stewart glue liner pen so add some hi-lites on the bird and sprinkled on very fine white glitter – Stampin’ Up. There is no die for this stamp set…at least I don’t have one…so it was simply cut out by hand.

The large snowflake was die cut and then I die cut the circle out of it so I could have the bird partly in and partly out of the snowflake. Then I cut another circle just a wee bit large to glue behind it to hide that open space. The sentiment was stamped and embossed in blue – on old HOTP stamp set on to a small scalloped circle. It needed something on the left side to balance the card so the die cut snowflake was added.

That’s all for another week. I’ll be back on Monday with another card. May your weekend be filled with love, laughter and crafting merriment!

Cheers

Violet

PS: To save a card to your Pinterest account, simply hover over the image until the ‘Pin It” symbol appears and then click…it sometimes take a few seconds. This will take you to your own Pinterest account to save the card.
