Christmas is over
for another year. It was quiet here because our daughters do not live here, and
one is over a 9 hours drive from here, but we did have friends stop by and we
had invited one who is a widow for supper. We normally have our family
Christmas get-together sometime around Christmas but when it falls on a Wednesday
its hard because of the travel time and people having to work except for
Christmas Day and Boxing Day…..but thank goodness they are all working! So we
had to postpone our get-together this year. This was the warmest Christmas in
years and it broke the record for the warmest Christmas ever – it was almost 10C
(50F)…in fact it’s still that warm and it feels more like a March day.
Unfortunately the cold air is returning.
I’m sneaking in another
Christmas card I made using the Memory Box window die.
The picture is from
an old Christmas card – better to re-use them then pitch them in the recycle
box. This time I took a piece of grey cardstock and ran it through the brick
embossing folder. The window was die cut from a lighter grey. There is clear
plastic from a package between the window and the photo which really makes a
difference in real life. People always touch it for some reason. I wanted to
keep this card fairly simple so I just die cut some leaves in gold and tucked
them behind the window and then added a couple of green leaves and a gold
peel-off. It has that vintage Christmas look.
That’s all for
another mild but damp day. Have a wonderful weekend everyone; stay safe, be
creative, enjoy family and friends, and perform a random act of kindness
whenever you can.
Cheers
Violet
