A Flower Card

We are slowly flattening the curve of the Covid-19 here in Ontario! Yay for us! Next week they are going to allow a few businesses to open up but of course there are strict rules to follow and we still all have to maintain social distance – but it’s a start – slow, but a start. For instance, car dealers can open up but by appointment only and a lot of other places will have to provide curb side delivery but it’s a start.
On Monday I posted a card with the floating frame and used the cut out part on another card on Wednesday’s posting. Today I’m posting a card that used the rest of the flowers that were not needed for the first card.

I still had some of that cream and pink marbled card left over from Wednesday’s posting so I used it as a label. Thin gold peel-off strips were added around the edges. I’m getting very low on the peel-offs and now the only place I can buy them is from Paper Wishes and they charge too much for shipping to Canada now. I used to buy a lot from them but no more. Oh well, it is what it is. The pink plaid paper is from the stash and decided it would work well with the pink flowers. Before gluing it to the card base a ribbon was wrapped around it and taped at the back and then a faux bow was tied. The flower cluster was glued on flat but the other flower was added with a dimensional glue dot. Gold Stickles were added to the centres of each flower. The sentiment is another gold peel-off. I really like how this card turned out.
That’s all for a cool Friday, on May 1, 2020. It is supposed to warm up for the weekend and then back to cool temperatures on Monday. I guess we are only allowed two nice days in a row! Take care over the weekend, stay home, stay safe and be creative.
Cheers
Violet
