We are having a nice gentle rain this afternoon and it has
now cooled off – no more hot and humid weather for a few days.
Here is one of the cards I have made from the dismantled card
failure from last week’s post. Very little goes to waste in my crafting space –
whether it is paper crafting or sewing.
The butterflies and the sentiment were
die cut from the solid yellow cardstock. The designer strip is from the
dismantled card as well…the edges were softly inked with brown ink. These
butterflies do not have a solid background so I had to hand cut one out of
black…..they were not showing up well against the designer cardstock and needed
the black behind them.
The sentiment was outlined with a thin black ink and then
covered with Glossy Accents. Then the sparkly gems were added around the
sentiment and one each to the butterflies.
It turned out ‘okay’; definitely not my favourite, but ‘okay’.
That’s all for a rainy Friday on May 29, 2020. Have a safe
and creative weekend everyone. If at all possible, perform a random act of
kindness for someone. You never know how a simple act of kindness can turn
someone’s life from despair to happiness and hope.
Cheers
Violet
PS: To save a
card to your Pinterest account, simply hover over the image until the ‘Pin It”
symbol appears and then click…it sometimes take a few seconds. This will take
you to your own Pinterest account to save the card.
