Steam Train Quilts

The terrible heat wave has finally broken, and we are back to near normal temperatures again. Thank goodness. I do believe I could live in the southern part of the USA during the summer.

In spite of it being summer, I’m posting another quilt today. This one is one I made for my grandson for his 11th birthday. I asked his mom if she thought he would prefer the usual gift of LEGO or books or a quilt and she said quilt. I was a little worried he would be disappointed, but he was not. He absolutely loves trains, especially steam trains, so he was thrilled with his gift.

Joe also has a love for steam trains and although I posted the quilt I made for him a few months ago, I’m posting it here as well. The centre panel of both quilts are the same, but after that I made each one completely different. No pattern for these, I just make it up as I go. Hope you enjoy them.

This is Finn's Quilt.

This was Joe's quilt.
As you can see, they look very different even though the middle panel is the same.

That’s all for a beautiful summer day on Monday, August-30-2021.

Cheers

Violet
