We are definitely having typical fall weather here in Ontario ..brrrr…the wind is cold. It’s been a busy week once again. Hubby had his second cataract surgery on Friday and it takes awhile for that to heal.
I did get all 16 Halloween cards finished and mailed. I’m going to post them in lots as there are just too many too similar to post each one separately.
Today is for witches. This is a Tim Holtz witch and cat die and one has some extra details added.
All the backgrounds were made using a variety of Distress Inks - some splattered; some sprayed; some sponged; some all three! The round moons were made by placing a plastic die cut circle as a mask where I wanted it to be while the background was made. Then the mask was removed and some of them had some light yellow ink lightly sponged in the middle. Then I took an old Stampin’ Up Grunge stamp and stamped the moon with Distress Ink Antique Linen. This particular grunge stamp was perfect for this. Next water was misted into the moon and the ink around the moon whisked in creating spooky lines. Each one turned out differently . Most of them had either stars or sequins added to the sky.
The sentiments were from a stamp set. Here are the first six. There is one made a little differently at the end.
For some reason I decided to make this one a little different.
The moon and bat is from another Tim Holtz die set and the cauldron from another. Even the mouse is from a different set. I like to mix things up. The logs and fire are from a unbranded die set I bought from Cathy’s Creative Papercrafters - on Facebook. I slice a cut in the cauldron to poke in two bones I had die cut. Then I added some small green gems as bubbles. Everything else was done as the cards above.
That’s all for a very cool Sunday, October 22, 2023.
Cheers
Violet
