Men and their Toys

The Our Creative Corner's blog challenge this week was to make a card for men and they call it Men and their Toys. Fitting. My mother used to always shake her head at my brothers' and say "The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys". How true.

So, for a masculine card I like to pull out my Tim Holtz stamps. Men love old vehicles, especially trucks, so this is what I came up with.

The background paper is from a 6x6 pack I picked up, once again, at the Paper Pickle. I simpled layered some left over pieces from other cards to complete the background. I stamped the truck and embossed it with some rusty coloured embossing powder and then lightly sponged blue around it. I distressed the edges and added black ink. Did the same for the brown paper behind it. The sentiment is actually from Stampin' Bella and it came with another image. I die cut the tag (Provocraft) twice, once in black and once in the same brown as the strip, cut around the edge of the brown piece so it fit in the centre and attached it. It needed something else to balance the black so I added the three black dew drops.

Your choice of PP and colour Palette makes it a very masculine card, and I love the distressing around your image.
