A Rainy Day Means More Quilting and More Cards

I almost forgot to post a card again. It was my intention to do so at 3:00 when I normally stop for a coffee and read the paper on-line but somehow Pinterest just popped open and held me hostage for awhile….and I forgot to post. It has been a very rainy cool day again today and Joe and I both woke up groggy and tired. My brain disorders do not like rainy days so no big surprise I was having a bad day but I guess the weather affects him now too. Anyway, after a slow start this morning I got a lot of quilting done this afternoon and 5 more cards made after supper.

Today’s card meets the challenge for these blogs:

This Magnolia image could be used for a birthday card as well but I decided this girl just got new skis for Christmas so I made it into a Christmas card but non-traditional colours. The image was coloured with my trusty old Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. All the dies are from Spellbinders. Both the pink scalloped oval and the background paper are from the stash and everything was glued to a white card base. The fancy scroll was popped up with tiny slivers of dimensional glue strips….that was tricky but it worked. The goggles were tinted light blue with the pencils and then Glossy Accents was added to make them look like glass. It doesn’t show up in the photo but it does in real life. I left the image in the oval die and sponged pink and blue chalk around the image. I have a great niece that loves pink so this just might make it to her house.

That’s all for a cool wet Tuesday,

 Cheers

Violet
