It’s a very dark, dreary and rainy day here in Ontario. The
cold seems so much colder when it’s this damp out. On the plus side, you don’t
have to shovel rain!
I enjoyed painting these birds so much
(see Monday’s post) I stamped and painted another one using Distress Ink
smeared on an acrylic block and a water brush again. This time I took a piece
of white cardstock and dipped it in Distress Ink that was smeared on the T.H.
mixed media mat; it was sprayed with water and then I quickly tapped the circle
into it. I wanted it very faint. The white background is white cardstock that
was run thought an embossing folder. The blue strips are left over pieces from
other projects…..this is why I keep them all. Martha Stewart ferns were punched
from various green paper (I have a little tin full of these. As I have left
over green paper I just punch the ferns and add them to the tin so I always
have lots on hand) and added around the birds. The sentiment was stamped and
heat embossed in white embossing powder. Then I decided it needed something
else so silver peel-off strips were added. It is mounted on a dark blue card
base that is just a bit darker than the blue paper.
That’s all for a
very rainy Wednesday, on November 25, 2020.
Cheers
Violet
