The cold
weather continues….and we had some snow…..hate winter! That is all.
Today I’m sharing another tip for you.
This one is for those of you who have a stamping
platform. Any platoform would work. Mine is the Tim Holtz one that is no longer available….but it works
great. To make sure I always have the die cut image in the same spot if I’m
going to be stamping more than one sentiment at a time on the same die cut, I
cut a piece of cardboard (cereal box used here) into a L shape and place it
along one side of the platform. Then I stamp the sentiment; replace the die cut
with another die cut; stamp again. I had just stamped the die cut sitting above
the platform and was ready to stamp another one. I remove it between stamping but
I replace it for the next stamping so I know the die cut is in the right place.
If for some reason the die cut shifts I know exactly where to place it. Works
great. This works well too when I want to stamp off the edge of the paper so I can't put the paper in the corner.
Today’s card would also work for a masculine birthday or thinking of you card.
This was created with a negative image stamp – sorry took it off the wood
block so I don’t know who made it. The top part is the stamp and it was inked
with black ink and stamped…a few times to make sure it was well stamped. Then
white snow banks were die cut with a stitched die and layered. A die cut stag
was added to the left and a peel-off sentiment to the right. It was then
mounted on a black card base. Quick and easy and yet so nice.
That’s all for a
cold Friday, December 18, 2020. Have a safe and creative weekend everyone.
Cheers
Violet
