Joy to the World

This is the first post for this week. I have been under the weather for a few days and then so busy I was too tired at night to even turn the computer on.

This card was fun to make. The background started out as a buff coloured piece of cardstock and various inks were sponged on to create the sky and the hill. I sprinkled some water over the sky and then quickly placed a towel on top to dry so it looked like little stars. Then a silver gel pen was used to make brighter dots for stars. They don’t show up well in the photo but they are there. Then a die was used to die cut the hill. Once it was out of the die, the buildings were lightly sponged with black ink and then the two pieces were fitted back together and taped at the back. Then the shepherds were die cut out of black cardstock and glued in place. Then the star was die cut and glued in place. The sentiment was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder.

That’s all for this week. I’ll be back with more Christmas cards next week.

Cheers

Violet

  1. My grandmother often did scrapbooking and quilting. Your activity here has reminded me of what she used to do.
