The weather was a bit mild today so I did get a walk in outside but unfortunately we are expecting a lot of rain tomorrow which will turn to snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Good job we are staying home this year as traveling could be dangerous. Because of the dreaded COVID, we are having a Zoom Christmas this year. Not as nice but definitely safer. Ontario is going into a full lockdown on December 26th and this will really hurt the small businesses. Sad for it to happen but it is the fault of those that refuse to take this pandemic seriously so they keep spreading it.
Today’s cards were both made the
same way but finished just a bit differently.
They were die cut out of black cardstock
and mounted on what started out as white cardstock that was sponged with
various Distress Inks – I think Distress Oxides used here. One die cut had a
wider border than the other so one has some of the background as a border and
one doesn’t. I like them both. They are both mounted on a black card base that
was first lined with gold glitter paper that was cut just a bit smaller so some
of the black card base shows. This is a 5.5 inch card when finished. The
sentiment is a gold peel-off. Gold stickles was then added to the stars to pick
up the gold layer.
This will be my last post for the
year. I’ll be back in January with new cards, new designs and more tips.
Wishing all those that celebrate Christmas a very Merry Christmas and Happy
Holidays for those that do not celebrate Christmas. Be safe, be happy, and
remember things will get better. That’s all for Wednesday, December-23-20 20.
Cheers
Violet
