Moose Card Number One

For some strange reason this did not post on Monday. Not sure what went wrong but it was likely something I did or didn’t do. So, here it is now.

This month two of my sons-in-law and my cousin’s hubby had birthdays so that meant three masculine cards. I happened to have two already made featuring a moose so I thought why not make a third one and keep it as a birthday theme. I don’t usually do this but there is no reason why not. They live in different cities and the cards are all a different design that happens to feature a moose. So here is one of them.

For this card the background was sponged with various inks and then water was splattered on and then covered with a cloth to make those light spots for snow. The trees were die cut from white cardstock that was dipped in various green inks. I wanted the large tree to be more dominating so the edge of it was sponged with darker ink. The snow hills were die cut with a bit of blue added to the top of each one. The moose was also a die cut from dark brown cardstock and then the edge was sponged with more dark brown ink. Then watered down white paint was splattered over the entire thing for more snow. The sentiment is a peel-off.

The other moose cards will be future posts.

      Cheers

Violet
