Happy 100th birthday card

Today’s card was made for a lady turning 100. Unfortunately she is a long care home which has been under quarantine and has not had visitors. Her granddaughter asked on social media if anyone would be so kind as to send her a card. Although frail in health her mind is as sharp as ever so she will really appreciate cards. Of course, I made her one.

I have a Sizzix die set that I seldom use so I pulled it out for this card. I wanted a card that was bright and cheery so I started out with brilliant blue cardstock that was run through the largest die that actually makes the card. Next was the pretty designer paper that was die cut with a die that matches the card design but a bit smaller so a border shows. The scalloped square and the birthday insert is also part of the die set. But, I wanted to add the 100th so I die cut it twice using an old Cuttlebug alphabet set and glued it to the right. Then the little tags were die cut and a small gold birthday sentiment was added. Well, I wanted bright and cheery and that it is. Hope she likes it.

That’s all for a rainy Wednesday, on March 18, 2021.3.18

Cheers

Violet
