Minions

It’s a lovely day here today – above freezing and no cold wind….and it’s going to be even warmer tomorrow and Sunday! Okay, just above freezing may still seem cold to some people, but around here  it’s almost like a spring day.
Today I’m posting two cards again because they are so similar.

The minions were die cut – lots of little pieces again but not too time consuming to put together. Both backgrounds are left over strips of paper glued to a piece of scrap paper and then cut down to the standard card size of 4 ¼ x 5 ½ . This is a great way to use up those strips that you just can’t throw out – okay, that I can’t throw out. One minion is smaller than the other so I first placed a red square on point and then the blue square straight on top of it with a blue strip at the bottom so he wouldn’t be floating. A strip from the same red was placed at the bottom with gold peel-offs glued on. Then a gold peel-off gift was placed first on a scrap of the same red and then cut around and placed in his hand.
For the second card the minion was larger so he is just placed on a blue square placed on point with a similar red strip below with more gold peel-offs. This time I die cut a balloon and have him holding it.
That’s all for another week – the winter is slowly shuffling off…I wish it would sprint to spring but shuffling is all its been doing. Have a wonderful weekend everyone….stay calm, stay happy, be creative and smile at everyone you pass.
Cheers
Violet
